Topgolf Louisville opens Friday with games, drinks and entertainment

  • Topgolf Louisville opens Friday at 301 Oxmoor Lane by the Oxmoor Center mall.
  • The new entertainment venue occupies 67,000 square feet of space, with 102 driving bays, several bars and plenty of other games.

Tee up and let ’em fly, Louisville. Topgolf is finally set to open.

The massive entertainment hub with more than 100 driving bays will welcome customers at the Oxmoor Center for the first time Friday. The three-story complex is tough to miss at 301 Oxmoor Lane, near the Interstate 264 ramp onto Shelbyville Road, and officials behind the project say golfers shouldn’t be the only ones looking forward to checking it out.

“It doesn’t matter if you’ve never picked up a club before. Topgolf welcomes everyone and we find that your skill level doesn’t really play a role in how much fun you have with us,” Gen Gray, the company’s chief operating officer, told The Courier Journal. “We’re more about letting loose and having fun, and we can’t wait to welcome our new Louisville neighbors.”

The new Topgolf sports entertainment complex features a high-tech golf game as well as several bars and food in Louisville, Ky. on Nov. 16, 2022. They held a soft opening ahead of their grand opening this week behind the Oxmoor Mall.

Those Louisville neighbors will be able to blast as many golf balls onto the driving range as they want once the complex has its grand opening over the weekend. Reservations are currently booked up for Friday, but Hollie Patierno, Louisville Topgolf’s director of operations, said walk-ins are welcome.

The facility’s proximity to the Oxmoor Center is a perk – it’s a separate building from the eastern Louisville mall but the venues share the same property, making it easier for shoppers to swing by for a few swings and to grab a drink at one of the facility’s several bars, which feature plenty of Louisville’s unique bourbons and brews.
