These in-state match ups primarily from the Mid-American conference are not thrilling games but they are intriguing in a sense that they could play a factor in who ends up playing in the conference championship games in both the Sun Belt and MAC in December.

Next week’s in-state match ups will be more in terms of numbers and a bit more intriguing. However, rather this week or next week’s in-state games, when two teams from the same state play one another the intensity and attention of the game amplifies as fans from the two teams playing one another are more likely to be possibly neighbors and or co -workers. In-state match ups is a part of what separates college football from the NFL as fans going to the game may not have a far drive to attend the game to watch their favorite team play from either program.

These four games should be closed this week and whom ever wins these games will have in-state bragging rights. College football at the highest level is that much better when there are in-state matchups week to week.
